Its distinctive position and panoramic views make Babia Góra one of the best-known and most recommended summits for watching the sun rise and set.
Above 1650 m you reach the alpine zone – the only one in the whole of the Beskids. In the Polish Carpathians, outside the Tatras, it is found only here.
Zawoja lies between three mountain ranges. From the other two – the Jałowiec and Polica ranges – you have Babia Góra in front of you for almost the whole walk.
