From Zawoja, within a single day you can reach both a smaller slope for beginners and advanced downhill runs, plus the big ski resorts of the Silesian Beskids and the Tatras. We measure the distances from the hotel door.

Three drag lifts and two pistes: 150 and 410 metres. Snowmaking and floodlights until 20:00. We recommend this slope for families with children and anyone just starting out on skis or a snowboard – there is a ski school on site.

Mosorny Groń
3.5 km from the hotel
The PKL chairlift and longer descents. The natural choice for a whole day on skis once you have the basics behind you.
A day out
Pilsko
about an hour away
A higher resort on the other side of the Żywiec Beskids. A good idea for a day out when you want a change of terrain.
Big resorts
Szczyrk and Wisła
40–50 km
The big resorts of the Silesian Beskids, with all the infrastructure that goes with them. You go there for the whole day, not for an afternoon.

Gear on site
You do not have to bring skis from home
The Jawor rental is right by the hotel and in winter it hires out skis, snowboards, boots and helmets – in children’s sizes too. For winter trails you can hire crampons and snowshoes. It is worth booking the gear in advance, especially in the school holidays.

In the winter school holidays we serve soup after the slope between 13:00 and 14:00, and the holiday package fills the evenings: activities for children three times a week, a campfire with a highlander band every Tuesday, family film nights with popcorn and cookery workshops for children.

The nearest slope, Wojtek, is 1.8 km from the hotel, and the PKL chairlift on Mosorny Groń 3.5 km. Pilsko is about an hour’s drive, Szczyrk and Wisła 40–50 km, Zakopane about 1 hour 20 minutes.

What is there to eat after the slopes?
During the winter school holidays we serve soup after the slope from 13:00 to 14:00 – a hot bowl between the runs and the rest of the afternoon. Dinner is served until 20:00: kwaśnica (a sauerkraut soup with smoked ribs), żurek (a sour rye soup), pierogi and potato pancakes.
When can I use the sauna after skiing?
The sauna area opens at 15:00 and runs until 22:00 – usually the right time once you come off the slope. The pool and the indoor hot tub are open from 6:00 to 22:00. The outdoor hot tub starts at 15:00 and heats to 34–36 °C even in a hard frost.
Is there anywhere to dry the gear?
