Beskid Wooden Toy Centre – 15 km from the hotel
Twenty-five minutes to Stryszawa. Your child does not look at toys behind glass but walks out with a wooden bird they painted themselves.

Toy making in the Żywiec and Sucha area went onto the national list of intangible cultural heritage on 4 June 2016. Stryszawa is its centre, and one of the few places where you can watch it being done.
There are eight kinds of workshop. The best known ends with a wooden bird that the child paints and takes home.
Entry costs PLN 15, children under three go in free, and a workshop is PLN 30 per person. The whole display is under a roof, so this is one of the few trips that works as well in the rain. The hours change with the season – check them at beskidzkiecentrumzabawki.pl before you set off.

This is the one trip on the list that works as well in the rain as in the sun. The evening does not have to end in your room either.

A patchwork studio with workshops for visitors – PLN 30–35 per person, open 10:00–18:00. Something to fill an afternoon, with a child as well.
