Sucha Beskidzka castle – 23 km from the hotel
Thirty-five minutes down the Skawica valley. A Renaissance residence that has long been called the Little Wawel – and it sits exactly on the road from Kraków.

The castle stands in Sucha Beskidzka, 23 km from the hotel – about thirty-five minutes down the valley. It is a sixteenth-century Renaissance residence, called the Little Wawel for its arcaded courtyard.
Inside there is a museum of the region’s history and ethnography. For a child this is a trip from about the age of eight – younger ones find it hard to sit still in museum rooms.
A ticket costs PLN 15 and entry is free on Tuesdays. In season the hours are Tuesday to Saturday 9:00–16:00 and Sundays 9:30–17:00.

Sucha Beskidzka is on the route from Kraków. If you set off in the morning, the castle fits into the drive without a detour – and check-in here starts at 15:00.
