Orawa Ethnographic Park – 15 km from the hotel
Twenty minutes over the Krowiarki pass and you are in Orawa. Sixty buildings on twelve hectares – this is a half-day trip, not an hour.
Zubrzyca Górna
The largest open-air museum on this side of Babia Góra
The road to Zubrzyca runs over the Krowiarki pass – the same one walkers set off from up Babia Góra. The drive is part of the outing.
The museum covers twelve hectares and has more than sixty buildings, the Moniak manor house foremost among them. The forge is in operation on some days, and there are twelve kinds of workshop – PLN 14 to 30, from about the age of five.
A ticket costs PLN 25 and entry is free on Mondays, though on Mondays you walk the grounds on your own and the buildings stay shut. The interiors are open only with a guide. Most of the display is outdoors, so in the rain it is a weaker idea.

You see the museum by walking between buildings, so in bad weather the trip loses its point. On those days it is better to use what is downstairs.
