Family celebrations and parties

Celebrate where there’s no rush

We will make your celebration one to remember. We cook regional food, and anyone with a long way home stays the night.

Family and neighbours

Cooking is one thing.
A celebration is another

Our kitchen runs every day, but a celebration is a different job from lunch for hotel guests. You have to know when the soup goes out, so that it does not go cold during the toasts. Where to seat grandma so she is not under the speaker. What to put in front of a child who will not touch the roast. We have the hang of it – we have been hosting family celebrations here for years.

We have no ready-made packages and no price list on the site. Tell us the occasion, how many of you there will be and when – we will send menu suggestions by email. The rest – the table layout, the timings, the food for the children – we settle in conversation.

Occasions

What people celebrate here

First communion

Lunch after mass for the family and the godparents. Children get their own menu and a playroom, so they do not have to sit at the table all afternoon.

Christening

Small, with the closest family. An unhurried pace and a room where you can talk without raising your voice.

Birthdays and name days

From dinner for a dozen or so people to a bigger party with music and an evening in the club downstairs.

Baby shower

An afternoon over coffee and home-baked cakes – in the smaller room or in the shelter by the stream.

Themed parties

An anniversary, a jubilee, the launch of a family business. Tell us what the evening should be built around.

Family gathering

The family drives in from all over Poland, eats together and sleeps here. Nobody goes home in the dark through the hairpins.

Where

Four spaces to yourselves

We match the room to the number of guests, not the other way round. Twenty people in a room for eighty look like a party nobody came to.

Menu

A menu put together
to suit you

We cook regional and classic Polish food: żurek, a sour rye soup, kwaśnica, a sauerkraut soup with smoked ribs, chicken broth, pierogi ruskie with potato and curd cheese, pierogi with meat or with cabbage and mushrooms, potato pancakes, meat, fish, vegetarian dishes and home-baked cakes. From that we build a menu for your occasion and your numbers – write to us and we will send suggestions to choose from.

  • We cook vegetarian dishes every day
  • Gluten-free dishes and allergies – tell us at least 24 hours ahead
  • Smaller portions for children
  • Barbecue and a campfire at the shelter by the stream, weather permitting

Away from the table

Room for children to run,
and for grown-ups to sit

A family celebration runs for several hours and not everyone will sit it out at the table to the end. Here they do not have to – the door is right there.

Guests who come from far away can stay the night – in rooms in the main building or in Villa Jawor, which can be hired as a whole. We book the rooms together with the celebration.

Looking for a company meeting, a team-building day or a Christmas party for your team? That is a separate offer for business.

What kind of celebrations do you host?

Communions, christenings, birthdays and name days, baby showers, family gatherings and themed parties. We run company events – team building, training and Christmas parties – separately, under the offer for business.

How many people fit?

We host celebrations for up to 60 people – that is the limit of the room, whatever the table layout. The Babiogórska room is 80 m². The smaller Góralska room is 50 m² and works well for a dozen or two guests, because the tables do not get lost in empty space. Then there is the shelter by the stream, also 80 m² – roofed, with roll-down side walls and heating, so it is not just for summer.

What does a celebration cost?

We have no fixed price list and no ready-made package. The price depends on the menu, the number of guests and the time of day, so we work it out in conversation. Call or write, and we will send back menu suggestions with a quote by email.

How do I get the menu suggestions?

By email. Write to recepcja@hotel-jawor.pl or sabina@hotel-jawor.pl, tell us the occasion, roughly how many people and the date – we will send back menu suggestions to choose from. After that we work out the details by phone.

Can guests stay the night?

Yes. We have rooms in the main building and Villa Jawor by the stream, which can be hired as a whole. Family from the other end of Poland does not have to drive back in the dark, and anyone staying over can use the Wellness area, included in the stay.

I live in Zawoja. Can I hold a celebration without booking rooms?

Of course. A good share of our celebrations are for neighbours from Zawoja, Sucha Beskidzka and Maków Podhalański, who go home afterwards. Staying the night is an option, not a condition.

What about special diets and children?

We cook vegetarian dishes every day, and we handle gluten-free dishes and allergies with 24 hours’ notice – the earlier we know, the calmer it is. For children we make smaller portions, and between courses they have somewhere to go: the playground, the stream and the playroom are all here.

How far in advance should I book?

Communion dates – May and June – go first, because across the region everyone holds them in the same few weeks. For a communion, call several months ahead. For a smaller celebration midweek, a few weeks is usually enough.
