A few steps from the water
A slide and badminton by the summer pool
The wooden playhouse with its slide stands on the grass right by the summer pool. A child comes out of the water, goes down it a few times and comes back – the whole journey is a dozen steps across the grass.
A badminton net is put up next to it. Older brothers and sisters who have grown out of the paddling pool have something to fill the afternoon, and from the edge of the pool you can see both.
Outdoors
The playground by the stream
A swing, a trampoline and a large stretch of grass – right next to the hotel and in sight from a comfortable hammock. The Jaworzyna stream runs alongside, and by it stands a shelter with a place for a campfire.
The air here is crisp even in midsummer, and the stream runs so loudly that after a quarter of an hour you stop hearing anything else. The children run about until they are tired, the adults rest a few steps away – and in the evening nobody needs persuading to go to bed.

Two lanes set up for the youngest players: raised bumpers, a comfortable ramp and lighter balls in children’s sizes – the ball stays out of the gutter and the child is happy to be playing along with you.

The youngest ride on a lunge rein, with an instructor leading the horse. Older riders head out on forest tracks, Babia Góra on their right. Call before you come.

Park Czarnego Daniela deer park
Fallow deer, red deer, llamas, goats and sheep in large paddocks, fed from your hand. The ticket is a bowl of feed, about PLN 12 per person. A visit takes 30–60 minutes.

Are there activities for children at the hotel?
Activities for children come with the seasonal packages – most of them fall in the winter school holidays: evening activities three times a week, a campfire with a highlander band every Tuesday, family film nights with popcorn and cookery workshops. In the New Year’s Eve package the activities fall on 1 January. Outside the packages we do not run regular activities, but the playroom, the pool, the playground and the bowling alley are open all year.
Is there a pool for small children?
Yes. Next to the indoor pool (120 cm deep) there is a paddling pool with water at 34–36 °C and about 40 cm deep. The pool is open daily 6:00–22:00 and you go in at no extra charge.
Can I get a cot for a baby?
Yes, on request we will put out a cot, a high chair, a baby bath and a changing mat. Tell us when you book or call +48 33 877 51 98 – then it is all waiting in the room.
Is there a children’s menu in the restaurant?
Yes. There is a separate menu for children, and we will cook a gluten-free or vegetarian dish, or one without a particular allergen, if you tell us 24 hours ahead.
Can I bring a dog?
Yes, in Comfort rooms. A dog is PLN 50 per night. Tell us about the dog when you book, so that we can give you the right room.
Is there a playground and a ropes park in Zawoja?
Yes, both within a walk or a few minutes’ drive. The Las Przygód high ropes park is 1.4 km from the hotel and has four courses – the lowest, in a safety net, is for children from about the age of 3. The public playground at Czatoża (2.7 km) is free and open all year, and opposite it stands the Babiogórskie Ścieżki educational park with nine wooden animals and QR codes for audiobooks.
Where near Zawoja can a child stroke animals?
At the Park Czarnego Daniela deer park in Zawoja-Podpolice, 10 km from the hotel – fallow deer, red deer, llamas, goats and sheep feed from your hand, and the ticket is a bowl of feed at about PLN 12. In the summer holidays the park is open Monday to Saturday 10:00–17:00. Horses are closer: Stajnia Dyzma riding stables in Zawoja Wełcza (3.7 km) put the youngest on the lunge rein from the age of 3 or 4.
What is there to do with children when it rains?
You stay indoors and still have enough to fill the day: the pool and the paddling pool, the playroom, the bowling alley, table tennis, the Xbox Kinect, board games and a bookshelf by reception. There is no need to drive anywhere.
