Team building

An evening that changes how the team talks

By day you take the bikes out or walk onto a trail in one of the three ranges of the Żywiec Beskids. In the evening there is a campfire by the stream, and then the club – the bowling lanes and the billiard table are yours until 1:00. Because the best conversations often start only once the agenda has ended.

After hours

Team building without
forced fun

The team evening is right here: the club on level -1 is open until 1:00, there are two bowling lanes, billiards, a bar and board games. Nobody has to drive anywhere, nobody is looking for a taxi at midnight, and anyone who has had enough simply goes upstairs to their room.

By day the team can ride out on bikes, walk onto a trail or – in winter – put on skis. It all starts and ends at the same address.

The club, level -1

Bowling does the job
of an icebreaker

  • 2 proper lanes, PLN 70 per lane per hour, shoe hire PLN 4
  • Every day 16:00–1:00, and from 14:00 on Fridays and Saturdays
  • Bumpers that can be raised and lighter balls – useful for anyone playing for the first time
  • Billiards, a bar and board games next to the lanes
  • A bookshelf by reception, if somebody prefers it quieter

A game on two lanes sets an evening up better than any host with a microphone. People split into teams by themselves, and after half an hour they talk to each other differently than they did in the training room.

An evening in the open air

A campfire by the stream

The shelter stands above the Jaworzyna stream, a few dozen metres from the hotel. It is roofed, so drizzle does not end the evening. A barbecue or a campfire, the hotel kitchen on one side, the sound of the water on the other.

It is a good place to end a training day: no stage, no microphone, no schedule down to the minute. Next to it there are swings, sun loungers and hammocks, so the conversations spread out into the corners on their own.

Outdoors

Things to do outdoors

Teams differ: some want to get to the top, others to ride a bike along the valley, and others again only to walk in the forest and come back for coffee. Below Babia Góra you can fit all of that into one afternoon, because the routes set off in different directions from the same address.

Electric bikes at the rental by Hotel Jawor

The rental next to the hotel

MTB bikes, e-bikes with a range of 40–70 km and Segways. In winter skis, snowboards, crampons and snowshoes, in summer trekking poles too. A helmet is compulsory.

An e-bike evens out the differences in fitness within a group – nobody is left behind.

Babia Góra Trails

22.5 km of singletrack in the area, training paths for beginners and a pump track. The routes open on the long weekend at the start of May and stay open through the season.

The difficulty levels vary – a group can split across two loops.

Trails of three ranges

Babia Góra (1725 m) is the summit for the trophy – 2–3 hours from the Krowiarki pass, though in July and August it is crowded up there. For a quieter climb, Jałowiec (1111 m) and Polica (1369 m) are better.

Routes from a stroll to a full day – we will match them to the fitness of the group.

In winter

The nearest slope is Wojtek – 1.8 km from the hotel, and Mosorny Groń is 3.5 km away. You pick the gear up at the rental next to the hotel, so going to the slope does not mean packing skis into the boot the night before.

No guide, but not blind either

We do not have a mountain guide of our own. What we do have is a reception desk that answers the question ‘where should we go in this weather’ every day – we will suggest a route to suit the fitness of the group and the time you have between sessions.

After the effort

A sauna instead of the drive home

After the ride down or the walk off the trail, the Wellness area is included in the stay: the pool, 2 hot tubs, four kinds of sauna and the brine graduation tower. The pool is open 6:00–22:00, the sauna area from 15:00. Dinner from the regional kitchen closes the day without any rush.

December

A company Christmas Eve dinner
instead of catering at the office

Christmas Eve dinner in our restaurant means twelve dishes of regional cooking. The room takes up to 60 people, and anyone with a long way home stays the night instead of counting kilometres in the dark.

December dates go as early as the summer – if you are thinking about a Christmas meal for the team, call earlier than November.

How late is the club open?

The club on level -1 is open until 1:00. The bowling alley is open every day from 16:00 to 1:00, and from 14:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Next to the lanes there are billiards, a bar and board games.

How much does bowling cost?

A lane is PLN 70 per hour and shoe hire is PLN 4. There are two lanes, proper ones, with bumpers that can be raised – so if some of the group are playing for the first time, nobody ends up embarrassed.

What is there to do outdoors?

At the rental next to the hotel you can hire MTB bikes, e-bikes and Segways, and in winter skis, snowboards, crampons and snowshoes. Next door there are 22.5 km of singletrack on the Babia Góra Trails, and from the hotel you can walk onto the trails of three ranges: Babia Góra, Polica and Jałowiec. A helmet is compulsory when you ride.

Do you provide a mountain guide?

We do not have a guide of our own. What we can do is suggest a route to suit the fitness of the group and the weather, put together a packed lunch for the way and tell you how long the way down really takes – reception does it every day.

Where can we have a campfire?

By the shelter above the Jaworzyna stream, right next to the hotel. It is the same place where we serve the coffee breaks during the day. The details – a barbecue or a campfire, what time, for how many people – we agree when you book.

When should we book the company Christmas Eve dinner?

The earlier the better – December dates go as early as the summer. Christmas Eve dinner in our restaurant means twelve dishes of regional cooking, the room takes up to 60 people, and a team with a long way home can stay the night.
